Shadow is a Northern Inuit, a relatively new breed to this country and not yet recognised by the Kennel Club.  They have been bred to look like wolves but with a temperament suitable for life as a family pet.

 

Much has been written about this breed on the internet, but our experience is that he is an intelligent dog but can be rather strong willed at times and as such requires a firm hand.

 

He is extremely obedient and generally well behaved.  He is very easy to live with, has a lovely gentle temperament and loves his cuddles just as much as the setters.  He is rather big to sit on your knee but he manages it now and again.

 

Despite his size and appearance he is most definitely not a guard dog.
